Dedicated Dolphins

The Dedicated Dolphins are second and third grade students who demonstrate leadership,Dolphin responsibility, and service to their school and community. The Dedicated Dolphins organization, which acts as Middlefork’s student council, provides an opportunity for students to thoughtfully make a difference in the lives of others, both fellow students and residents of communities near and far.

Students meet bi-monthly during their lunchtime recess period. During meetings they brainstorm activity and service project ideas and then create action plans to carry them out.

Past Dedicated Dolphins have sponsored school spirit days, Northshore Senior Center visits, National Geography week events, and loose change drives for victims of Katrina, Sandy, and the Haiti earthquake. The Dedicated Dolphins also sponsor activity book and spirit wear sales to raise money to purchase an annual gift to the school.

For more information on the Dedicated Dolphins' service activities, contact teacher sponsors Kellie Johnson and  Maureen O'Looney (2nd grade) and Anna Wendt and Hillary Henderson(third grade).
