The end of the day bell is 3:30 p.m. Students in grade 4 enter the building at 8:35 a.m. with a dismissal bell scheduled at 3:20 p.m. We ask that students not be dropped off more than 10 minutes before the entrance bell unless they are coming in for a before school program. Emergency Drills
SRS EMERGENCY DRILLS: We routinely run safety drills as part of our safety procedures. These drills include bus evacuation drills, fire drills, severe weather/tornado drills and lockdown drills. The purpose of a lockdown drill is to prepare students and staff for a situation where the highest level of safety and security might be necessary. Some examples of situations where we would call a lockdown include an intruder in the building, a hazardous materials spill close to school, a dangerous person at large in close proximity to school, etc. Our students work together with staff to conduct themselves appropriately for all drills. If you have any questions, please contact Shelley Carey, Principal.
Weather Conditions
When the weather is particularly wet, cold, or windy, playing outside before and after school or at recess not be possible. We are inside if weather is rainy or if temperatures dip below 20 degrees and/or there are wind chill temperatures below 10 degrees. We also assess wind conditions.
