Dr.Greene's 2019 Back-to-School Letter
2020-21 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION: We are currently enrolling kindergarten students for the 2020-21 school year. District 29 resident children who will be five years old by September 1, 2020, are eligible. The registration process begins with residency verification. This is true for ALL families, including those with students presently registered in District 29 schools. Additionally, parents or guardians of each prospective kindergarten student must provide the child's official birth certificate (the school will make and retain a copy). Specific directions for the residency verification and subsequent registration can be found under the Parent tab on the District 29 website.
PLEASE NOTE that District 29 also has procedures in place to assess a student's readiness for advanced placement to kindergarten and/or first grade. If your child does not meet the state's birth date cut-off, and you feel he or she is ready for entrance to kindergarten or first grade, please contact Dr. Greene to learn about the application process and timetable.
MIDDLEFORK SERVICE NIGHT IS 3/11/20 @ 6:30 P.M. Dedicated Dolphins are sponsoring a Cradles to Crayons donation drive in conjunction with the March 11 Middlefork Service Night. Beginning March 4, donation bins will be located in the Middlefork lobby. Students may donate new or gently used items any day leading up to Service Night and/or families may bring items with them when they attend on March 11. Most desirable items include baby board books and youth chapter books, toddler shoes of any size, and youth pants (especially boys!) sizes 7/8 through 18/20. Perhaps some early spring closet cleaning is in store? Thank you!

In March, we are collecting lunches from grades K & 2. The Middlefork Community's long standing tradition of providing lunch for the homeless shelter at the First Baptist Church of Evanston is appreciated! For a full schedule of lunch donations, click here. lunches for homeless dates Note.docx
egistration forms can be downloaded here. The spring program runs from 4/3 - 5/29. Middlefork Chess Spring 2020.doc

CELL PHONES IN THE DRIVEWAY: Drivers should cease using their cell phones during pick-up or drop-off time, when students are present on the sidewalk. We understand that some people arrive early, but once the students appear, the potential for distraction makes cell phone usage unsafe. Thank you for putting down your phones while there are children on the sidewalk!
