Special education services are available for eligible preschool aged (3-5 year old) children beginning on their third birthday. District 29 provides a full continuum of services from itinerant speech services to an extended day early childhood program in partnership with TrueNorth Educational Cooperative 804. 

Ongoing preschool screenings for children between the ages of 3 and 5, who are residents of Sunset Ridge District 29, are available through TrueNorth. The developmental screenings may assess the areas of communication, motor, cognitive and social-emotional skills to determine if a child is meeting his/her developmental milestones.

Preschool screening dates for the 2025-2026 school year have concluded. Dates for the 2026-2027 school year will be announced soon.
