Superintendent Welcome

Superintendent Welcome

Superintendent's Greeting

A group of children and an adult pose for a photo in a brightly lit school hallway.

Welcome to Sunset Ridge School District 29. I began my tenure as Superintendent in July 2026, and I’m grateful for the warm welcome I’ve received from our students, staff, and families. There is a special energy in seeing our buildings filled with learning, and it’s a privilege to be part of it.

Everything we do is guided by our mission: “Cultivating an inclusive learning community that engages hearts and minds, one child at a time.” Our faculty and staff care deeply about every student and family we serve, and we work to build strong partnerships that support a well-rounded education.

Students in District 29 benefit from small class sizes and individualized attention, with instruction tailored to each child’s strengths and needs. Alongside a strong academic program, we offer athletics, fine and performing arts, and social-emotional learning opportunities. With the community’s support of the March 2026 referendum, we are also investing in the future of Middlefork School through the Middlefork Capital Improvement Project. You can follow its progress here on our website.

We hope this website helps you stay informed and involved, and we always welcome hearing from you directly. If you can’t find what you need, please reach out to me or any member of our team:
